Costa Brava cycling camp — Catalan roads and legendary climbs
Between the sea and the mountains, the Costa Brava is the best-kept secret of cyclists who want to ride in Spain off the beaten track. It is home to Rocacorba — the pros’ testing climb — and the roads of the Gavarres massif. LE RAIDARD takes you there all year round (except in summer), in a small group and on an all-inclusive package, starting from Lloret de Mar.
Why ride on the Costa Brava?
If Girona has become Europe’s second capital of professional cycling after Calpe, it is because the region offers everything a demanding cyclist is looking for:
- A mild climate almost all year round — March, April, September, October and November offer perfect riding conditions.
- Terrain unique in Spain: coastal roads, the plains of the Empordà, the medium climbs of the Gavarres massif and steep ascents such as Rocacorba.
- Quiet roads and quality tarmac, especially outside the tourist season.
- A lively cycling scene: Girona is permanently home to dozens of pro riders who train on these roads.

The Costa Brava’s signature rides
On each day of the camp, you will discover a new side of the Costa Brava. Here are the must-do climbs and loops we include in our routes:
- Rocacorba: 10.5 km at an average of 6.5%. The climb where Pogačar and the pros come to test their form. A real-life test.
- Els Àngels: the local riders’ favourite climb, with an exceptional view over the Empordà plain.
- The Gavarres loop: wild roads with little traffic, perfect for endurance rides.
- The Tossa de Mar — Sant Feliu coast road: spectacular bends above the Mediterranean.
- Banyoles and its lake: a recovery ride on flat terrain.
- A loop towards Girona on inland roads: varied and tactical.
